Riding Lesson Content - Lessons will usually include tacking and untacking the horse/pony and may include other horse care instruction.
Opening Times - Asti Equestrian is open every day of the week and we expect to ride in most weather conditions. Floodlights on the outdoor schools enable us to provide evening lessons 7 days a week.
Riding Attire - Hard hats to current standard, comfortable full length trousers and suitable footwear must be worn. Hard hats may be borrowed from the office/tack room. Footwear with buckles, platform or ribbed shoes and high heels will not be permitted. Regular clients are expected to wear correct riding attire. If expecting to jump using an Asti Equestrian pony/horse during a lesson, hack, clinic or special event a body protector must be worn and would strongly recommend that when jumping your own pony/horse you wear a body protector complying to current safety standards. The Saddlery Shop on site stocks a wide range of clothing and equipment. Asti Equestrian will refuse to teach, without refund, any client who arrives for a lesson in attire considered to be unsafe. Parents/Guardians - Asti Equestrian require that parents/guardians of children under the age of 6 years remain at the centre for the duration of their child's lesson/ride.
Booking/Payment - Payment in full at time of booking is required for all lessons, clinics and special events - no payment, no booking. Visa, Mastercard, and Connect/Debit cards are accepted over the telephone or at the yard office. Please note that we make no guarantee that any lesson, hack, clinic or special event will be with the instructor indicated at the time of booking.
Cancellations - Cancellation of riding lessons must be made at least 48 hours prior to lesson start time for a refund or rebook, the only exception to this will be on production of a valid doctors certificate. A non refundable deposit is required for all other riding activities, the balance of activity costs will only be refundable in the event of at least 7 days notice of cancellation, the only exception to this will be on production of a valid doctors certificate. Cancellation can be made via telephone during shop hours or/and by email. All refunds are subject to a £5 handling charge.
Safety - Horse riding is a risk sport. Although every effort is made to ensure the safety of clients and their property, the Centre and its staff will not be held responsible for any injury or loss sustained whilst attending the centre. Please remember that all animals can be unpredictable and we ask you not to approach or handle any animal at the Centre unless accompanied by a member of staff. No smoking anywhere on the premises.
